Experience

Assistant Producer

Portable Zoo. Inc., Santa Clara, CA. March 2009 – February 2010

An iPhone game development company founded in part by Don Traeger, EA Sports Founder.

  • Worked on Karuki Rescue (shipped), Tripletters (shipped).

  • As the sole producer in studio, maintained an efficient and productive work environment by creating and managing high level task schedules, game overviews, and design documentation.

  • Built and maintained the company website with the desired features, social media message and content in order to provide communication with customers and investors. Required in-depth Drupal platform knowledge, CSS and HTML work, and some PHP. Site built for all major web browsers and iPhone.

  • Managed social media communications with the public and iPhone community: Maintained website news/blog, communicated with reviewers and media, maintained continuous and positive support and feedback communications with customers.

  • Provided game testing and feedback to ensure quality gameplay experience for users.

  • Marketed products through AdMob and AdWords, contacted press and reviewers in order to increase product visibility.

Drupal Engineer

OpenIssue, LLC., Santa Clara, CA. July 2009 – October 2009

Web design and information systems company, both open source and SaaS.

  • Worked with Director of Engineering, Principal Consultant (customer relations) and Graphic Designers to develop compelling, functional and successful websites for not-for-profit companies.

  • Customized Drupal installation and worked directly with html, CSS and PHP.

  • Developed in a Scrum scheduling environment using Redmine.

Assistant Producer

Locomotive Games, THQ Inc., Santa Clara, CA. September 2005 – November 2008

A medium sized game studio developing PSP and Wii titles.

  • Worked on Stuntman for the Wii (cancelled), Red Faction for the Wii (cancelled). Credited on Cars for PSP, Ratatouille for PSP and Destroy All Humans: Big Willy Unleashed for Wii in non-production roll.

  • Worked collaboratively with art, design, and programming departments to produce high level Waterfall project schedules and detailed task schedules used to budget, ensure quality, and maintain on-time project delivery.

  • Determined project direction, processes and tracked tasks defining scope and time line for projects, including low level SCRUM project processes.

  • Researched competitive product, analyzed sales and reviewed data; which resulted in competitive game design.

  • Managed information flow on wiki for team and publisher reference. This included monitoring and verifying new data and PERL scripting to maintain reporting tools and exporting functionality.

  • Supported Senior and Executive producers with diverse tasks such as milestone presentations for executive review and sustaining good communication with the team and management, in order to maintain a cohesive and productive work environment.
